GEORGE LYNNThe American Music Research Center and members of the Lynn family invite CU student musicians, both graduates and undergraduates, who are planning toÌýperform or undertake researchÌýrelated to George Lynn’s music, toÌýÌýfor the annual George Lynn Award.Ìý Applications are due Friday,ÌýMay 3, 2024.

This award comes with a $2000 prizeÌýandÌýsupports work that takesÌýplace from June 2024Ìý- April 2025. ÌýAfter completion of the project theÌýaward winnerÌýisÌýexpectedÌýtoÌýsubmitÌýa shortÌýreport summarizingÌýtheÌýwork and research accomplished.

Activities eligible to receive this awardÌýinclude:

Public performancesÌýor recitals of Lynn’s extensive catalogue of vocal, instrumental chamber, choral, or orchestral music.

Recording projectsÌýof all kinds related to the above in the coming year.

Research or prospective publicationsÌýthat use primary sources related to Lynn’s career as a conductor, teacher and composer [such as personal family scrapbooks].
