The American Music Research Center and members of the Lynn family invite CU student musicians, both graduates and undergraduates, who are planning to听perform or undertake research听related to George Lynn鈥檚 music, to听听for the annual George Lynn Award.听 Applications are due Friday,听May 3, 2024.
This award comes with a $2000 prize听and听supports work that takes听place from June 2024听- April 2025. 听After completion of the project the听award winner听is听expected听to听submit听a short听report summarizing听the听work and research accomplished.
Activities eligible to receive this award听include:
Public performances听or recitals of Lynn鈥檚 extensive catalogue of vocal, instrumental chamber, choral, or orchestral music.
Recording projects听of all kinds related to the above in the coming year.
Research or prospective publications听that use primary sources related to Lynn鈥檚 career as a conductor, teacher and composer [such as personal family scrapbooks].
