Royer Lopez

Royer Lopez (Mktg '18) is an experienced Marketing Professional who believes in the power of education and the impact representation makes in society. Born in Greeley, Colorado, he has been a lifelong Buff who was the first person in his family to attend and graduate from college. He's the oldest of three boys (all buffs!). During his time as a full-time student at CU-Boulder, he also worked full-time as a Small Business Specialist at Wells Fargo. He consulted Latino-owned small businesses in the Boulder and provided them with resources to be able to start and grow their business. After Wells Fargo, Royer moved onto the advertising industry and kicked off his marketing career at Sterling-Rice Group.

After several years at SRG and other agencies, Royer took a job at Amelie Company and in his time there, he has led campaigns for state agencies such as the Colorado Department of Education. Royer also co-founded a foundation with his wife called Mi Leyenda Foundation, who's purpose is to promote academic achievement for first-generation students who want to create a legacy. The foundation will give out its first annual Mi Leyenda Scholarship to a graduate of his alma matter, Greeley West High School, to pursue a post- secondary education. When not at work or with his foundation, Royer is a die-hard Colorado sports fan, and passionately enjoys attending games for the Buffs, Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies and Avalanche with his wife and brothers.

Royer currently lives in Frederick with his wife Angie (Econ '17, M.A. '22) and their cat Oliver and dog Ralphie.
