Maithreyi Gopalakrishnan (EngrPhys ’16)

Maithreyi Gopalakrishnan is the Founder and CEO of LiquidiFi, a company on a mission to make the $100 trillion global fixed-income market more transparent and accessible to individual investors. She is also a data science and engineering consultant at two other companies. Prior to her current venture, she has led product development at an early-stage quantum computing startup, worked as a process engineer at Intel, and founded a company creating hybrid electric conversion kits for auto rickshaws in India and other countries. Maithreyi holds an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and an M.S./B.S. in Engineering Physics with highest honors (minors in Electrical Renewable Energy Systems, Leadership, and Dance) from the University of Colorado-Boulder. While at CU-Boulder, Maithreyi also conducted optics and materials science research at JILA and completed internships at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Maithreyi spends most of her free time dancing. She has trained in classical ballet for 26 years, performed in numerous shows, choreographed and set pieces, and taught dance to adults and children. She also enjoys snowboarding in the winter, hiking in the summer, and spending quality time with family and friends.
