Jeffrey Anderson

Born and raised in Evergreen, Colorado, third-generation Buff Jeffrey Anderson graduated from CU in 2004 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a History minor and later earned an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

After starting his career in sports media, Jeffrey joined DISH Network in 2006 and spent 16 years there, ultimately leading operations and helping to shape video and streaming distribution including launches of their Video On Demand products, live channel streaming, digital movie purchases, mobile device streaming, HD and 4K UHD. He took on a new role in 2022 and now serves as VP of Global Product Operations for the STARZ streaming and cable network (a division of Lionsgate film studio), where he oversees VOD and streaming content, the STARZ streaming app, distribution of content to partners (Amazon, Apple, Hulu, Comcast, etc.) and operations systems. He is a member of the Television Academy and an active Emmy voter.

In his personal life, Jeffrey is married to Shannon (CU '05 Marketing) who is a Senior IT project manager at Children's Hospital, and they have two daughters, 12 and 9. They love traveling (further and further away as the girls get older), movies, CU sports, great restaurants, hiking and enjoying beautiful Colorado. Jeffrey is also a volunteer mentor at Minds Matter Colorado and the Group Effort Initiative.
