Project Description
In this research effort we aim to assess the engineering students鈥� cultural wealth at three selected institutions (University of Colorado Boulder, James Madison University and Angelo State University) and to understand how engineering students鈥� personal values relate to beliefs about engineering. Findings from this research will tremendously assist educators in designing asset-based curriculum changes to achieve newly desired engineering students鈥� outcomes such as sustainability performance or environmental justice. For instance, utilization of engineering students鈥� personal values and cultural wealth to enhance their sustainability performance. The research protocol and survey instruments are approved by CUBoulder鈥檚 IRB (protocol #: 20-0400).听
Special Requirements
A student with background in any engineering program could apply for this position and highly preferred if experienced in statistical data analysis.听
